The Shard And Tower Bridge 2014

The Shard seen from the North Bank between Wapping and St Katherine's Dock also including City Hall, the south side of Tower Bridge and Butlers Wharf. I have been photographing The Shard since September 2009 and it still changes all the time.

When talking to an architect friend of mine who was involved in designing internal parts to the building I learnt that when a tenant rents floors within The Shard they start with an empty concrete and glass shell. Their architects then draw up plans for the interior of these floors, therefore the interiors have been designed by many different architects and the process of occupying floors is a slow one. As more floors are occupied the appearance of the building at night changes.
