September 2013

A panoramic from the riverbed at dusk, low tide featuring The Shard, City Hall, More London, London Bridge, HMS Belfast, The City and The Tower of London. The riverbed can be accessed through an obscure gate at the beginning of Butlers Wharf at low tide. It consists of a mixture of clay, mud and rubble.

City Hall is the headquarters of the Greater London Authority (GLA) which comprises of the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. It is located in Southwark, on the South bank. It was designed by Norman Foster and opened in July 2002, two years after the Greater London Authority was created. City Hall was constructed at a cost of £43 million on a site formerly occupied by wharves serving the Pool of London.
