August 2015
The sunrise over some Tall Ships on Saturday 29th August at 5:45am. I am so glad I got out to shoot this, you never know what your going to get with a sunrise but this time it was spot on. Perfectly still and a gap in the dense, varied and textured cloud just in the right position to allow for bursts of colour leading up to daylight.
The two ships moored here are to the left Santa Maria Manuela, a Portuguese vessel originally built for cod fishing in 1937 and now used as a training ship and Dar Mlodziezy, the first Polish built ocean-going sailing vessel to circumnavigate the globe between 1987–88 now used as a youth training ship. Together they made a great composition.
