Enderby Wharf 2014

April 2014

Before it all disappears, one of the last working boat yards and industrial arrears along this stretch of The Thames. I have always been very fond of this beach, my father did his last watercolour painting of a boat wreck on this beach in 2009 having previously walked along there with me.

The Enderby Wharf project will see a cruise liner port allowing cruise ships that can carry roughly 3,000 people to dock in Greenwich creating a further tourist destination in Greenwich. It is also part of the Royal Borough’s plan of ensuring that right along the river from The O2 to Central Greenwich there will be attractions, walks, uninterrupted cycle paths and things to see and do.
